Such an iconic view from the summit track at the top of Mount Maunganui {or Mauao} overlooking the stunning surf beach, outer islands and town.  The Mount is an extinct volcanic cone at the end of the peninsula and the town of Mount Maunganui.  A popular destination for New Years and summer with the sprawling white sand beach, all the way to Papamoa!  Difficulty: 3.5
